Freedom from the cage of sin!

Freedom from the cage of sin!

Under the Old Testament, there was no exhortation to "stop sinning." But in the New Testament, we see the message of Lord Jesus Christ, as a two-paged gospel message; 1) Free from the judgment! 2) Getting rid of sin!!

When Paul says, "Do not sin," (1Corinthians 15:34), John says, "My children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin" (1John 2:1) and Peter says "Turn away from sins" (1Peter 4:2); All said in the same tone!

After Paul describes in Romans 5th Chapter as being justified by faith, in Romans-6 he says, "What then are we to say, should we continue to sin in order that grace may abound?" He raises question. Again in verse 15, pressingly he is questioning "What then? Shall we sin because we are under grace? (Romans 6:15). Paul 's answer to the questions in the above two verses is "Don't!" He answered categorically. Yes, hereafter we should never sin even once, knowingly.

Does the message you hear now sound like a burdening message in your ears? This message is only burdensome for those who wish to continue to sin! But for those who are trapped in the bondage of sin, this message is a message of joyful deliverance!! The man who confined to a prison-cage while hearing the message "you are going to be released!"... How could he not get excited about the news? Ask yourself, is this message is a burden for that prisoner? No.... Not at all!

Lord Jesus came to us with the anointing of the New Covenant to proclaim freedom to the captives and to set free the oppressed (whom Satan has captured) (Luke 4:18).

Prayer:

Our loving Heavenly Father! Thank you for the New Covenant life of Jesus Christ that gives us great deliverance! Please be gracious on us to put an end to the sins we are knowingly doing! In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
