Free webinar to cover pollock outlook in pandemic

Undercurrent News has convened five top pollock sector experts for a free webinar to discuss the outlook for the world's largest-volume wild whitefish in the coronavirus pandemic.

The webinar, titled "Pollock in the Pandemic: Markets, Production, Trade", will see executives from A. EspersenAmerican Seafoods GroupFuture SeafoodJ.P. Klausen & Co. and Norebo Holding cover the current situation and look ahead to 2021. You can sign up for the webinar by clicking here

We plan to cover the outlook for supply and the markets for single and double-frozen pollock fillets, headed and gutted fish and surimi. The webinar will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 3 pm UK time (4 pm CET, 11 am EDT, 8 am PDT, 11 pm CST).

Our panel is:

  • Rasmus Soerensen, executive vice president of global sales and marketing with American Seafoods, the world's largest at-sea pollock processor
  • Sturlaugur Haraldsson, managing director of Europe for Norebo Holdings, the largest Russian fishing company and a significant pollock harvester
  • Jens Peter Klausen, CEO of J.P. Klausen, one of the world's largest pollock suppliers, which is owned by Japan's Nippon Suisan Kaisha
  • Klaus Runne, head of pollock buying for Espersen, which produces the Filet-o-Fish for McDonald's restaurants
  • Pascal Guenneugues, CEO of Future Seafood, one of the world's top surimi experts

We will start with a 15-minute introduction and presentation using pricing, supply and trade data. We will then have a panel discussion for 60 minutes, leaving 15 minutes for a Q&A from the audience. So, the whole webinar should be wrapped up in 90 minutes.
