What about the men and women who provide honorable service to our country through the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard?
Good order and discipline are important, but do they have any guidance as to their free speech? Department of Defense Directive 1325.06 provides, in part, that a service member's right of expression should be preserved "to the maximum extent possible" in accordance with constitutional and statutory provisions "consistent with good order and discipline and the national security."
Thank you to the men and women who protect us on the land, on the sea, and in the air.
