Free road safety insights for local government

The promised increase in Federal Budget funding for road safety, for improved driver education, and the $20 million+ commitment to improving reporting within a National Road Safety Data hub is the perfect time to take stock of what Australia is doing in the road safety space, and what we need to change.

A change to how we build and maintain roads. To road user education. To how we share and use data. To how we fund and finance road safety providing tangible, positive outcomes that save lives and stop the injury carnage.

You with us? Here's what NTRO is doing. We're making available free of charge to all local governments until June 30, 2024, data-driven insights into road safety on local roads. NTRO has developed the Road Safety Intelligence Toolkit . It's the perfect opportunity for Councils to understand exactly how safe their roads are, how they compare to other local government authorities, and where the improvements need to be made on their road networks. For free. For a limited time.

This milestone agreement, welcomed by Tonga's Minister of Infrastructure, Hon Sevenitini Toumoua, and NTRO's Chief Executive Officer Michael Caltabiano , marks a significant step towards enhancing Tonga's transport infrastructure.

Speeding drivers in the workplace, abuse, disobeying signs meant to keep them safe. All in a day's work...

NTRO's research underpinning the much-needed Road Worker Safety Industry Guideline was shocking to say the least.

We are proud to have played a significant role in bringing the Guideline, launched recently by Roads Australia , to life.

NTRO hopes it makes a significant difference to keeping our road workers safe.
