Against a backdrop of intense public scrutiny in sustainability and recycling, on 25 April the government published its announcement on the Deposit Return Scheme for drinks containers. It confirmed the scheme will now go live in 2027 with Louise Cowan MCIWM (Bradney) Director?from Local Partnerships outlining what this?news?means for the public sector.? ?
The exceptional financial environment alongside political uncertainty means that operational effectiveness is high on the agenda for every leadership team in local government. At TheMJ Future Forum event this month, Local Partnerships’ chief executive Adele Gritten , facilitated a discussion on what could be done to sustain innovation and deliver operational improvement. One of the recurring themes for every organisation is how to create strong workplace culture specifically how to adapt to the ways in which people want to use office space post pandemic. We’ve been exploring how the public sector should adapt in our webinar series?‘Offices for Good’. The next instalment takes place on Thursday 9 May at 11am with workplace experts from @remit consulting? discussing latest data into how people are returning to their workplaces.
