Free & Paid Password Managers for you

Free & Paid Password Managers for you

Hi there!

It’s Bolatito again, back like I never left. ??

In my last letter, I shared 3 benefits of password managers. As promised, this week I would be spotlighting 5 password managers that you can use to maintain good password hygiene while living the soft life.

There is an endless list of password managers available for use, but I have selected these 5 based on their capabilities and relevance to the average user.

1.?????Last Pass – This password manager offers a rich set of free features allowing most users to get everything they need without paying anything. It can be accessed on most browsers and virtually all smart devices and offers more robust sharing features through its paid versions. Find out more about Last Pass here .

2.?????Dashlane – Dashlane offers both a robust free plan and paid plans with additional security support for its customers. Interesting security features include dark web scanning for data leaks, a secure virtual private network (VPN), and a password changer option. Click here to check their plans.

3.?????1Password - This is an easy-to-use password manager that allows you connect to five (5) household devices. It securely captures credentials using browser add-ons and even has automatic backups. Click here to read about 1Password plans.

4.?????Bitwarden - Bitwarden’s free plan lets you connect across all devices, secure note and credit card storage, two-factor authentication, and has the option to store passwords offline rather than in the cloud. For first time users, the free version is not a bad idea. You can read more about Bitwarden here .?

5.?????LogMeOnce – This manager allows users to access their passwords and log in on any browser, computer, or mobile device with a photo, fingerprint, or PIN. LogMeOnce offers a free ad-supported plan that includes unlimited passwords and devices, two-factor authentication, and 1MB of encrypted file storage. Find out more here.

This is quite an interesting list if I do say so myself. Please note that this list is not exhaustive so I will encourage you to do some research and find what works best for your needs.

Be on the lookout for my next letter, where I’d be sharing more about the recently launched Cybersecurity toolkit for SMEs, and why you need it as a business owner. ??

Side Gists

  • Do you know there are scams being perpetuated with the use of fake forex robots? Targeting users of forex trading platforms, dummy robots are created to extract funds from users’ accounts, disguised as a tool to help the user trade better. • It is still placement season and more DigiGirls 1.0 beneficiaries have been given the opportunity to begin their careers in reputable organisations in Nigeria. If you are interested in having any of our alumni intern at your organization, please send an email to [email protected] stating your interest.

Saying goodbye is so difficult but inevitable. I’ll be eagerly counting down to my next letter.

Till then, stay well and remain cyber safe! ??

Yours truly,

Bolatito
