Picerne Foundation Offers Free Online Interactive Art, Music and Writing Lessons
The Picerne Family Foundation is offering free live online one-on-one art, music and writing instruction, in a new project, Shelter-in-Place: Face-to-Face. It is the Foundation’s effort to help combat COVID-19 isolation. Dr. Ken Golden, Senior Advisor to the Foundation, adds, “The lessons are a fun and personal way to learn a new skill or brush up on an old one”. Lessons can be scheduled on the Foundation’s Contact page: https://picernefoundation.org/contact-us/. The Foundation will also provide assistance to the learner in setting up on an interactive format such as Skype, Zoom or FaceTime.
The instructors are all local professional artists who are donating their time for this new project. There is no fee for the 15 – 30 minute “in-person” lessons. The artists are offering instruction in painting, drawing, collage, stitching, art with stories, origami, keyboard/piano, guitar, singing and writing short stories and folk tales. Ages for the various lessons varies, but ranges from 6 – 60+. Some lessons are offered in Spanish as well. The Foundation is also seeking artists to volunteer for this project in the future.
The Picerne Family Foundation, is a private charitable foundation (501c3) formed by The Picerne Group in Newport Beach, California. The Foundation seeks to develop and initiate unique and innovative programs that create impact and lasting value for the individual and the community. For more information, go to: www.picernefoundation.org.
In addition to this I am also offering free online drawing classes for all ages via Zoom. These classes only require a pencil , paper and an eraser. They are simple 30 minute projects for now.
