“We regret to inform you that your experience does not match our current needs.”

“We’re completing a couple more interviews and will be in touch next week.”

And so it goes.

Four or five times a day after graduation I’d get an email saying my experience didn’t match up with what employers needed.

No dip! I just graduated! The only EXPERIENCE I had was putting fries down and serving them to people at Disney World.

If you have a heartbeat, you’ve heard these words at some point, too.

That your “experience” doesn’t match the company’s “current needs.”

I’ve found the job market isn’t as impenetrable as we think.

The problem is that nobody taught us how to get a job after school, so it’s only logical that we need to be educated in this also.

We need to be shown how career experts, recruiters, and even entrepreneurs.

What if there was a direct line of communication between them and you? What if their advice was free, and actually got you closer to getting hired or starting your business?

I’m proud to say that day has arrived. The free 66-page Post-Grad Survival Guide Magazine is that avenue.

You can download it here, or keep reading to find out what’s included.

The magazine itself is divided up into three sections: Entrepreneurship, Career, and Life.

In each section, you’ll find 5 feature stories, each of which we outline below.

Let’s meet the stars of this issue.

Ben Christensen: Forbes 30-under-30 List Member

Ben Christensen (right) is one of the co-founders of Handshake, a platform that gives college students MUCH better access to internships and job postings across America.

The platform has gotten so popular that 98% of the Fortune 500 works with them.

In the magazine, we talk about how he and his co-founders built a business while still in college, and how they came from the secluded town of Houghton, Michigan all the way to San Francisco, where they now employ 70+ people.

Kate Smith: Digital Nomad, World Traveler

Kate Smith is no ordinary woman. Two years ago she quit her job in Advertising and bought a one-way plane ticket to Prague.

It was the first stop on a life-changing experience called Remote Year — a program where 75 Digital Nomads get together for a year and move to a different city every month.

In the magazine, we chat about following your dreams, excuses, and actually taking action to make things happen for yourself!

Dandan Zhu: Headhunter, Retired by 28

Dandan Zhu is #9–5goals. When she turned 25, she was making $200,000 per year head-hunting. By 28 she was retired.

Dandan doesn’t pull any punches. In the magazine, she gives it to you straight, detailing what you need to do to retire early like herself and succeed at the 9–5 game. She also drops off some great interview advice and general life advice you need to hear.

Sam Struan — Headhunter, Former Apple Employee

Sam’s career is pretty illustrious. He moved from Glasgow, Scotland all the way to Vancouver (where he knew nobody) a few years back, and got a job recruiting at one of the largest head-hunting firms in North America.

In the magazine, he teaches you how to unlock the “Hidden Job Market.” Using the power of the people you already know, Sam shows you how to land interviews, job offers, and the career of your dreams.

He used these same methods to land him a job at Apple. Isn’t it nice to know you ALREADY have the tools to be successful in your career?

Lori Bumgarner — Career Coach, Amazon Best-Selling Author

Lori brings a special presence to this quarter’s PGSG Magazine.

Of the five featured subjects, she’s the only one featured in the “Life” section.

She’s a Passion and Career Coach, helping people take the leap they really want to take, but are too scared to act on.

In the magazine we talk about minimalism, volunteering in South America, and why it’s never a bad time to take a jump towards your dreams.
