Staffordshire-based manufacturing and engineering companies looking to improve productivity across their business are invited to a free seminar, centred around lean manufacturing techniques.
‘Lean Manufacturing: How To Get The Most Out Of Your Productivity’ takes place on Wednesday, 20 November, at the bet365 Stadium in Stoke-on-Trent.
Made Smarter’s acclaimed digital technology specialist and Kaizen champion, Tim Kirby, will be leading the event, which is being organised by Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Growth Hub.
Tim, who has more than 20 years of experience at Toyota and Bentley Motors, will focus on lean manufacturing and how to implement the Continuous Improvement Process and Kaizen to reduce unnecessary waste.
Used globally in manufacturing and engineering businesses, Kaizen and the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) are both?approaches to gradually improving products, services or processes.
Kaizen is a Japanese principle focused on small, incremental improvements over time in a business, supported by participation from all employees who are involved in identifying opportunities for improvement, while CIP aims to continuously improve work processes, products and services.?
The workshop runs from 9 am until 12 noon and includes refreshments and networking opportunities.
