Free ISO/agent email marketing nurture campaign (maybe?) breakdown


(great surprise email from your ISO to help with your marketing)

Well it is the holiday time and what a great time for an ISO an agent submits deals to give a great present like a free email nurture campaign.


But wait a minute..... I'm confused what if I am not saving or segmenting lists, is this for cold emails, is this for customers I've already signed, How do they know what merchants I am currently targeting or are they tracking my every move and just helping me out?

(Sweet questions did get answered not all of them but this is only for ecommerce merchants)

Not totally clear yet if this is for current ecommerce customers or once you have as prospects? Think this should be clarified a lot better IMO.

But lets reserve judgement and get to the holiday email (I am assuming this is the first reach out email).


(and the confusion continues)

  1. Is this a blog? Thought this was an email nurture sequence?
  2. If this is first email that subject line probably screams spam, maybe add variable of the contacts name and talk normal "Bob you think (prospect's company) can handle record holiday sales this year?
  3. Black Friday has already passed maybe focus on December or Christmas.
  4. Holiday rush started on black Friday change to last minute xmas shopping also still confused if these merchants are already a client? are we upselling? If they are why are we asking if our system can handle their volume?
  5. Kind regards is so impersonal sounds like it was written by a terrible prompter on chatgpt or someone completely out of touch with email marketing.

Well we still haven't answered the point of these emails? Subject line was not personal or engaging sounds and confused what we are doing here still, but lets move on.


(I have now come to the conclusion that these are merchants that are not clients yet)

If these are cold emails then I would scrap everything because the agents will most like ruin their domain and get no clients.

First teach people how to cold email starting with setting up new domain, warming up domain, DMARC, dkim and spf setup, how to give real value and instead of direct pitch, using a spam checker, learning how to stay out of promotions and junk folders etc.

I did look over sales presentation and it wasn't geared towards merchant(it was more to highlight Nuvei) so probably would have most people bail after the first fold.

I can't see anyone actually asking these questions this way but it is a smart way to get more data for Nuvei.


I really like the thought of helping agents use tools like email nurturing but I think this misses the mark. Great job though Nuvei for thinking outside the box.
