Free Hosting Options For Web Developers (Heroku Alternatives)

Heroku?has decided to discontinue its free service options. All of their services are no longer free since salesforce is taking over. Thus, this post will look at some great alternatives for Heroku for web hosting for both dynamic and static websites.

DigitalOcean

Digital Ocean is a cloud hosting provider that offers cloud computing services and infrastructure. It is known for pricing and scalability and would serve as an excellent alternative for Heroku as teams can deploy on DigitalOcean in seconds with plans that start as low as 0$ a month. This also comes with two months free subscription under an affiliate link.

Amazon Web Service (AWS)

The AWS cloud encompasses a broad set of global cloud-based products, including computing, storage, database, analytics, networking, and enterprise applications. It has a 12 Month free subscription tier after signing up. After the expiration of the period, a minimum monthly fee of 9.50$ is charged.

Google cloud

This is also a great alternative to Heroku and is provided by Google Inc. Due to the collaboration between Google and university professors, students receive 300$ to 500$ worth of google cloud credits and one free e2 micro-instance per month.
