The latest effort from Ryan Reynolds did not disappoint. It had some great takeaways for people to put in to their everyday life. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. The idea behind the film is 2 people create a software code for a game where you watch the game characters grow. They sell their code to a big corporation who steals it for his own ends and lies about his actions. They both decided to play small and just live in the background.
This all changed when Guy (Ryan Reynolds) sees the girl of his dreams who he has been programmed to love but he is never meant to meet her. Their paths cross by chance and this sets of a chain reaction where he breaks his programming and takes control of his artificial life. He becomes the good super hero Free City deserved. With his actions he motivated others to change and develop as people. In the real world people started to watch Guys actions and how he had changed.
When you find something so powerful and important it can change everything about you. I believe we are all pre-programmed and it is our life mission to find and fulfil this purpose but, we have so many people telling us what we can’t do, so many people in authority telling us what is right and wrong, what is real and just a dream. We all must conform to the normal to “fit in”.
To live your best life you need to find your true self and find what truly gets you excited. Guys friend Buddy is someone who doesn’t want to change, he doesn’t want to take the sunglasses and open his eyes to what it true. He changes his life when he sees his world collapsing. You can do the same with your life. The past does not equal the future. It just takes a decision to change. Start with reflection and meditation, learn about yourself and know what you want to achieve.

Another whole side to this story was the fact that Guy was designed by Keys. He was designed to never meet the girl he truly loved. He didn’t have the confidence to tell the girl he sat next to and worked with for years how he truly felt. It took Guy to point out to Millie that he was merely a love letter to her. Keys was lucky his AI character broke his programming to tell the girl he loved that Keys wrote him for her. In the real world this doesn’t happen, we need to build our on confidence and have friends and family build us up.
