Happy Friday and welcome to issue 17 of Create Evolve Overcome Digital Magazine!
Magazine release day is always my favourite!
Following on from the March madness brought to us by Covid-19 the world is showing signs of emerging from its lockdown state. Much like the first signs of spring, little by little we are unfolding from our hibernation and getting ready to blossom back into our brilliant colours, socially distanced of course...
How do you plan to emerge? Most of us have had to pivot, adapt and re-think what we once knew for sure. How does it feel as we transition to the other side and into a very different looking world? Personally, I'm so ready to get back to hugging friends and family and sitting around the table with wine and laughter without a laptop perched in front of me just ready to soak up every drop of liquid I manage to spill (I'm pretty clumsy sometimes). I'm also ready to expand my business, launch new services and create from a space where anything is possible. What was once certain is no more and I see that as an opportunity not to be missed, it's like someone came along, shook everything to the ground and now we get to pick up what we want and leave what we don't. In fact, as I write this I am reminded of one of my all-time favourite Girl Warriors from Hindu mythology, the Goddess of never not broken, Akhilandeshvari. If you haven't heard of her, check her out on Google, she's pretty awesome (and she rides a freakin' crocodile). One of my favourite articles about her is this one. You're welcome.
With all of the above in mind, in this issue I've rounded up for you THE most incredible people, we've got the truly inspirational charity CEO and Warrior Joanne Smith of FACT - Fighting All Cancers Together, her story made me cry (quite literally, it's on video - you can watch it) If you want to see what a 180-degree business pivot looks like read her story. You'll also get to re-meet the fabulous Destiny Drake West of The Drake Institute of Policy and Research (remember THAT suit?) she's back to share her journey so far with us In The Spotlight and what a journey it is! I mean, who doesn't want to read about the powerhouse female instigating change for millions of women across America?!
As if you would expect anything less, Team CEO are bringing to you a fabulous host of articles from our worldwide team of Guest Editors. In this issue, you'll find
- Intuitive Life Coach, Susan Smalley feelin' the vibe and sharing her brand new and exciting work with us.
