Fraudulent Scams Targeting ECD Centres Using Ntataise and DBE

Johannesburg – Ntataise is issuing a warning to Early Childhood Development (ECD) Centres about a series of scams that falsely use their names as well as that of the Department of Basic Education (DBE) to deceive vulnerable organisations.

?

These scams offer false promises of training and essential equipment, including chairs, tables, charts, mats, and paper. Scammers are asking for small payments for transportation and delivery, directing victims to make payments at PEP store tills.

?

We want to make it clear that these scams are entirely fraudulent; no such programs exist. We have alerted PEP about this criminal activity and are actively working to trace its origins.

?

"It is disheartening to see the names of Ntataise and the DBE exploited in such a dishonest manner and urge all ECD Centres to remain vigilant and to spread the word to protect innocent individuals from falling victim to these scams."

?

We encourage anyone who suspects they have been targeted by these scams or who has questions to reach out to us directly on [email protected]
