Fraud Detection Success

You don’t often hear success stories in detecting fraud, but occasionally you do. Walmart gets a bad rap for a lot of things, but in this case their fraud detection team quickly stopped a fraud. If an organization can stop a fraud scheme in progress with only $243 in damages I would call that a fraud detection success. Not only did their fraud detection team do a great job in preventing a larger fraud, but their fraud prevention team is already preventing other frauds by releasing this information to the public. Other employees, vendors and customers who read this are likely to think twice when committing fraud against Walmart in the future.
Can your organization detect fraud quickly and are they willing to use that fraud scheme as an example to other employees, vendors and customers?
