FRAUD ALERT: analyticalresearch.ca

I came upon another scam this week. This is the second one this month. What this company does is post a job on indeed hiring as a Quality Control Specialist. They tell you you are to go to a specified business and conduct a report that they give you and they pay you $300 for the report.

When they mail you your report they include a cheque for $3,900. They tell you to deposit the cheque, withdraw $3,400 and you keep the rest. The cheque they gave you is fraud. I went into the bank and asked them to look into the cheque, the signatures didn't match the signing authority on file and the business has already been flagged for fraudulent cheques. The teller kept the cheque.

The hook of the scam is for you to deposit the cheque take out the money send them the money and the cheque bounces on your account leaving you owing the bank a hefty sum. Seems pretty simple to not remove the funds from the bank account until the money cleared but I know people have come victim to this tactic and withdrawl the money right away.

All in all along the job hunt be warned of the pirate scammers that exist in the marketplace.
