Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn about tablets.

Globally, the use of tablet computers is now so low that in most countries you can just ignore them as digital media consumption devices.

According to the comScore 2018 International Edition of Global Digital Future in Focus, tablets account for 15% share of total digital digital minutes by platform in Canada, and about 12% in the UK, and 9% in the US. So a small fraction compared to smartphones and computers, but still (just barely, and shrinking) worth discussing.

Meanwhile, in every other country for which the data was provided, tablet usage is now so low that it can cheerfully be disregarded. See the chart below.

How the mighty are fallen...the device that was supposed to combine the best of the computer and the smartphone in 2010 is now low single digits of usage in 10 out of 13 countries surveyed.
