Culture is Everything?
A company with a consistent and reliable culture can raise success to the next level. Culture isn’t merely the act of saying, “We have a great company culture!” – it is embodying values through actions. An effective leader must consistently talk the talk and walk the walk – advocating how great the company culture is and helping uphold that attitude through their actions. When a leader really embodies the company’s culture, it will trickle down into every aspect of the organization. A team that can not only celebrate the wins but recognize and discuss the losses can be unstoppable.??
Where Vulnerability and Professionalism Meet?
Leaders are better respected and received when they can be seen as real human beings and more than just a boss. In his experience, Scott has reiterated time and time again that executives need to take down the mask of having to always be “on,” always being correct and always needing to succeed. There is no shame in opening up to employees about what is going on outside of the workplace. It is also key to show employees they’re cared about as humans and not just assets. Starting with that human element first will open doors in exciting and sometimes unexpected ways!?
