Entrepreneur Profile
As a franchise consultant, I take my clients through a very specific and detailed process in helping them find that right franchise. First, we have them start with taking an entrepreneurial profile. This profile is going to help me to understand my client as to what their needs are, what their lifestyle goals are, what their financial goals are and what their core competencies are.? This profile also helps me and my client understand what drives them and what motivates them in business.? Everyone is motivated by different things.? Some people are motivated by providing stability and security for themselves and their loved ones, others are motivated by contributing to the improvement of their community and the environment and yet others are motivated by results or the bottom line.??

Building a Business Model
After the entrepreneur profile is completed, we get to paint a very clear picture of what this business should look like. The next step is building a business model in which we are going to identify criteria of the business that are important to you.? We will ask questions such as, do you want to work from an office or from your home?? Do you want to have someplace to go? Do you want a lot of employees, or do you just want to start the business with a couple of employees? Do you want to provide a product or a service?? What's your comfort level in terms of personal out of pocket money you are willing to invest, as well as what's your budget? How comfortable are you with borrowing to finance your business??
All of this goes into building that business model before we even take a look at one franchise.?
Introducing You to a Few Franchises
We are then able to go onto step three, in which I introduce my clients to a few really great franchises.? These franchises will check off as many of those criteria that are important to their recipe for success. Once I introduce them to these franchises, then their work begins. They get to work with and learn from each of the franchise brands that they're looking at, so that they can compare and contrast. They will look at the criteria that each of them offer, and figure out which one is going to work best for them and which one is going to help them to accomplish the goals that are important to them.?
