This month's feature is for all of you real estate addicts! Can't get enough of the "fix and flip" shows? ?Is HGTV in your regular rotation? ?If you love design and regularly search Wayfair, this could be the fun and profitable business you've been looking for!
Your clients are individual home sellers, realtors, homebuilders, real estate investors, and anyone buying a property to rent it out on a short-term basis.
This business has virtually unlimited scalability, high margins, and low overhead—the trifecta of a good business model.
Everyone knows what staging is. And you likely know that staged properties sell faster and for more money than unstaged. ?This business, however, has a twist. Something that no one else is doing on a national basis. ?In this business, approximately half of your revenue will come from furniture and accessory SALES. ?Yup. ?They have cracked the code on selling directly to impulse buyers who walk through homes and want to replicate what they see at their old home. ?Or, more often, in their new home - why bring your crappy old furniture when you can buy the furniture and accessories you love right there already in the home!
This is an innovative furniture and decor business marketing through "temporary brick and mortar" - empty homes for sale and model homes and vacation rental homes!
This is a very fun business and a unique business model. ?You do not need a design background - but you should have a good eye for design. ?Franchise support is very strong and their technology is cutting-edge. With hundreds of vendor relationships, you will have incredible margins on the furniture and decor side.
For this business, your strengths should be in things like coordinating, scheduling, and follow-up. ?And naturally, you will need to be friendly and a good communicator - isn't that true for every business? ?But I digress...
The initial investment is approximately $170-180K all in (franchise fee, equipment, working capital, etc).
