Welcome to another Friday blog by moi. As I sit here at my desk/kitchen table, to my left sits my recent acquisition and it's bits and bobs. Oh Heather, Heather, Heather, what did you go and get now??? Any guesses? I'll give you ONE hint, that's it. Here's the hint: I don't need a license to use it. I can't believe my family and I have lived here outside of Tweed for a year now. In some ways it's flown by. Survived our first winter but if I see that propane truck in our driveway one more time I fear I will lose my mind (wait, mind is lost, lose my shit lol). The Lawn Boy (aka the husband Paul) has been doing the lion's share of ground cleanup and doing a stellar job. I've helped, in fact yesterday we began to clear out an old pile of firewood and re-stack it elsewhere. I received an early Mother's Day present of a battery operated hand held rototiller. It is super cool and definite upgrade from the Garden claw thing. I've used it and I still have all my limbs. My first piece of "farm equipment" lol. I'm glad we began a bit early out in the yard before bug season hits.?

I'll come clean, I've been hopelessly lost without my camera and birding lens this past week. I'll live, really it's not been the end of the world, I did have my back up camera and a shorter lens to play with so it's not all gloom and doom. All my worrying about sending it in for a tune-up I gotta hand it to?Canon Canada?techs for such a quick turn around mid birding season, I am very grateful for their speedy service. They even replaced my back display from the time when my 2 cameras first met and my Canon 6D punched my Canon 1DX and cracked it. Now they aren't allowed in the same room together lol.?

About the photo above. I took it the other night as I went to bed. In my mind I feel like I'm in my late 30s early 40s but alas, I am not. When I took this shot it was because I felt a sudden tinge of my actual physical age. Why all of a sudden did I feel that way? It's because of the white container and the eyeglass case. I need to wear the mouthguard that's in the case so I don't grind my teeth. I grind my teeth?? Yup. Not to worry I won't go all Auston Matthews on it. (watch any Leaf game and you'll know what I mean) and if I want to read before I go to sleep I now need the glasses that are in the pink case or I can't read jack squat. Le sigh.?

This week's blog is mostly personal stuff, I hope you don't mind. I'm gearing up to announce some exciting news (business related) and I'm also planning something special to celebrate a milestone as well. Stay tuned. Time to put the laundry basket upside down over the heat vent, another grackle has broken into our house and is flapping its wings in the duct work while the cat is up on our bed fast asleep.
