#FrameItFriday It's the Labour Day weekend and I've been out with my camera taking photos once this week, ONCE! Stuff keeps getting in my way, like adulting stuff. The outside of our house (well 1/2 of it) is getting painted soon (it's wood) soon it will be all the same colour (the grey part). I wish we could paint it like you can online, touch part with a brush and it spreads. If you're familiar with photoshop kind of like "changing the background". Boom, you're done. Nope it's being done the old fashioned way brushes and rollers. First we gotta prep, I've cut down all the tall flowers (that have thankfully finished for the season) and bushes out front and destroyed a hornet's nest that was volleyball sized on the side of the house because that's no fun to paint around. Next, down come the shutters and the window baskets and we scrape off the peeling paint. I know it will look swell once it's done, the thinking and planning process consumes me somewhat. The door colours are changing too. Since I'm not doing the painting part (except for maybe painting the doors) I've turned my thoughts to converting our veggie garden beds to raised ones, no more sitting on the ground. I want to use stuff I have around here to make them. It may or may not come to fruition because it's a Heather inspired artsy-fartsy project. So about the photos this week, good old b&w. The one on the left I craned my neck to take with my iPhone (do you know what it is?) and the one on the right is a re-worked shot I took in early Spring of a wonderful gal. I love the "textures" in both. I'm out of photo inventory so I'm about to go out and try get some more on a walk. I'm taking carrots with me because I may meet up with the cows on the trail so there may or may not be some interesting photos coming down the pipes next week. My buddy got a funky new car for her birthday so I'm going to try and get some shots of her in it as well. Lots going on. Have an enjoyable and safe long weekend!
