Fracking hazards? Let's get real, shall we?
The recently issued sham health report out of New York was illustrative of much of what we here about fracking hazards – all speculative – but what the inconsistency?
Claims of fracking hazards invariably descend into speculation. Howard Zucker’s report was the pitch-perfect example, of course, with 82 “could,” 70 “maybe,” 31 “possible” and 9 “might” statements. It’s also the standard M.O. for all fractivists when they’re not just lying.
This speculation also produces some incredible inconsistencies in thinking, not to mention factual errors. A November letter to the Elmira Star-Gazette opposing Crestwood Midstream’s storage projects in Watkins Glen, described them as the storing of “explosive gases – the byproducts of fracking.” David Crea has already corrected the record to explain propane is not explosive, but there’s a much bigger issue; gasoline is explosive and we store it everywhere and some fractivists even ride rolling bombs powered by the stuff to protest rallies.
Most readers of this blog are already familiar with the phony protests of Crestwood Mistream’s projects and the stories of mostly out-of-town protesters getting arrested to attract some media attention for their opposition to both the propane and natural gas storage projects under consideration there.
