In a world where social media has become just... media, our team at Fr. App, a London-based social networking platform, is on a mission to bring back the "social" in social media again.

With a decade-long career in tech with roles at eBay, Instagram, and Snapchat, Meghana Dhar once pinpointed the industry conundrum:

This summer, our team, comprised of individuals who have grown up with TikTok, embarked on a thrilling journey. Led by Kyle Ciauri, a proud team member with millions of TikTok followers, we took to the roads to engage, connect, and bring back the essence of authentic social interactions.

Our team drove the Fr. Van, with the bold message "keep it real", along the east coast of the United States, with stops in West Palm Beach, FL, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Washington Square Park in Manhattan, New York, and some of the prestigious universities in Boston, including Harvard and MIT with a warm reception from students.

The idea is clear: if Fr. App is all about real connections, what better way to spread the word than by making face-to-face connections? Kyle, as our team member, spearheaded this initiative, bringing the Fr. App's message to various cities and directly engaging with our audience.

As TikTok, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter) are all slowly evolving to become the same infinite scrollable feed of algorithm-optimized short videos from top performers, social networks were no longer about connecting with your closest friends, keeping up with long-distance family members and feeling a special connection with people you love.

Fr. App recognises that the future of social media is all about: authenticity, seamless communication, and real FUN. And It's evident that the colossal social platforms of today are no longer equipped or even motivated to fulfil this genuine need for connection.
