FPT Information System and Metrodata Unveil Strategic Digital Transformation Partnership Opportunity Powered by Cloud, Data & Artificial Intelligence

Jakarta, January 15, 2024 - In a significant move, FPT Information System (FPT IS), a leading enterprise in digital transformation in Vietnam and the region, and PT. Metrodata Electronics Tbk., the largest ICT public company in Indonesia, have formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This Memorandum aims to explore the possibility of jointly building a world-class digital transformation, powered by Cloud, Data, and Artificial Intelligence solutions, to capture the growing Indonesian digital opportunity.

The initiative marks a crucial step towards enhancing cooperation between businesses in the two countries, particularly in advancing the development of digital technology, especially in AI. The collaboration’s objective is to empower the country not only in utilizing technology but also in transcending the conventional role of mere technology users, fostering a capacity for creation and innovation.

Key figures present at the signing ceremony on January 13, 2024 included Mr. Tran Dang Hoa, Chairman of FPT IS, Mr. Susanto Djaja, President Director of Metrodata Electronics, along with senior leaders from both organizations.

The MoU outlines that the focus of cooperation is on the development and deployment of digital transformation solutions based on leading technologies such as Cloud Computing, Data, and Artificial Intelligence. The collaboration potentially encompasses various critical areas:

• Market development for digital transformation applications and solutions tailored for the Indonesian region aims to accelerate digital and green transformations.
• Educational initiatives will focus on professional talent development, specifically in the areas of data science, machine learning, and AI programming.
• The establishment of a robust AI infrastructure platform will include Cloud and GPU technologies.
• The creation of innovative Machine Learning models and AI applications.

FPT IS and Metrodata commit to leveraging their maximum resources and expertise to effectively invest in and support the possibility of forming a joint venture in the near future. The goal is to become the leading provider of digital transformation solutions in Indonesia, meeting international standards, within the next five years.
