FPT Automotive at Techday 2024: The Future of Mobility is Now

FPT Automotive didn’t just attend Techday 2024 — we owned the stage. From AI-first SDV innovations to next-gen E/E architectures, digital cockpit, and automotive testing, we pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in the automotive world. We welcomed OEMs, Tier-1s, and tech leaders by showcasing the essential role of software in the car industry and the relevance of FPT on the future of mobility.

Every year, FPT Techday, Vietnam's largest technology event, brings together tech enthusiasts, students, tech leaders, and decision-makers to exchange ideas and look for new ways to cooperate. Techday 2024, which took place from November 13–14 at Thisky Hall in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, brought together FPT's international clients to talk about leveraging technology's new powers, improving global competitiveness, and sustainable development through a variety of products, talks, and engaging panels. Additionally, we celebrated FPT's 25 years of proudly advancing Vietnam's intelligence globally.

Located in the center of the hall, FPT Automotive's booth displayed our cutting-edge technologies in automotive testing, next-generation digital cockpit (CDC), AI-first SDV, and Service-Oriented Vehicle Diagnostics (SOVD). Thousands of visitors have experienced our latest product to learn more about what might shape mobility in the future.

Our AI-first SDV demo car was the highlight of the Techday show, bringing real-world experience to customers and audiences. This demo car integrated advanced features such as voice-activated control (adjusting climate, navigating, and managing fuel or battery levels all through natural conversations), personalized and proactive assistance, intelligent monitoring systems (3 real-time driver safety through systems like DMS and ADAS), and scalable architecture (high adaptability across different car models).

FPT’s Hybrid SOVD Server combines an in-vehicle private server with an external server via the proprietary “FPT-SOVD Agent” in the CDC. This setup enhances security, reduces external data traffic, and turns each vehicle into a client — eliminating costly server maintenance for users and manufacturers. SOVD by FPT is highly appreciated for its human-centric AI helping easier diagnostics, its flexible connectivity using HTTPS, MQTT, and RPC to suit various connectivity technologies, and reducing costs and time-to-market thanks to its comprehensive SOTA/FOTA support.

Our demonstration of a digital cockpit with cutting-edge IVI systems, digital clusters, and AR-HUD products was another highlight. Based on the most recent version of Android Automotive, the digital cockpit also featured a number of AI-driven technologies (voice assistant, surround view monitor, driver monitoring system) to enhance safety and security, track driver fatigue and drowsiness, and provide hands-free control for a smooth media and navigation experience.

New solutions, new opportunities

Like all tech expos, Techday 2024 brought together thousands of tech leaders and experts from around the world to share their knowledge and perspectives on technology in general and the automotive industry in particular. Numerous contacts and opportunities have been established, which have assisted us in opening the new door to the mobility of the future.

Global Software Talents

We also invited hundreds of students from Ho Chi Minh City's several tech institutes and universities to Techday 2024. It was a significant event for those young talents as they learned about the latest innovations and the insides of the technology business, especially the automobile sector.
