And That's A Wrap!?FPN 2024 Statewide Summit
A heartfelt thank you to all of our members who joined us at the FPN 2024 Statewide Summit. The goal?was?to explore the ways our members and guest speakers have moved beyond dollars alone to transformative, transparent partnerships that have changed the sector and the way the work is done in our state. With an?outstanding turnout of over 250 attendees this year, your active participation and ongoing commitment is truly valued.
We look forward to the exciting year and philanthropic partnerships ahead!
Name: Rebecca Fishman Lipsey
Company: The Miami Foundation
Thoughts:"The people closest to an issue are often best positioned to design solutions. Our role as philanthropists isn’t to tell communities or experts what we believe they should do. Dollars are a piece of the puzzle – but leadership and trust building are where the real impact is at."

As the number of organizations in funder portfolios who are undergoing a leadership transition grows, many common practices of funders, including a "Wait and see" approach, are failing organizations just when they need extra support. Given the deeply destabilizing impact of transitions and the steep increase in volume of transitions, it is more important than ever that funders embrace transitions as a normal yet fragile part of the organizational life cycle. Further, funders can develop better strategies for supporting leadership transitions involving BIPOC leaders.?
