The UK Government has introduced legislation allowing Category B licence holders to drive zero-emission vehicles up to 4.25 tonnes, aligning them with lighter petrol and diesel vehicles. Effective from spring 2025, this change accounts for the additional weight of EV batteries and removes the previous five-hour training requirement.
