Now that we’re in the fourth quarter of 2024 (how did that happen so fast?!), it’s the perfect time to pause (take a deep breath or two) and do a quick check-in.
Let’s chat about a few things to consider as we get ready for 2025!
Look at your goals for the year — are there any still lingering? Instead of cramming everything into these last few months, prioritize the things that will make the biggest impact (and make you feel like you’ve accomplished something. Ask yourself: What’s realistic to finish before the year’s out? Then, focus on that task, and LET GO of anything that doesn’t serve you.
How to Make it Happen: Break those remaining goals into smaller, manageable steps. Focus on one thing at a time, and keep the pressure low. You’re more likely to get it done if it feels achievable.
2. Reflect on What Worked (and What Didn’t)
Take a minute to think about what really worked for you this year. Did you ROCK OUT in some areas? Maybe you showed up for the workouts, wrote the tiny book, drank the water, finished the class, etc., BRAVO!
Now, think about any areas which may have fallen flat? This reflection will help you figure out where to focus your energy in 2025.
NOTE: This is a NO-STRESS ZONE.
How to Make it Happen: Jot down a quick list of your WINS and note things you want to improve. Use that list to guide how you plan next year — more of what works, and less of what didn’t.
3. Start Thinking About Your 2025 Vision
Before you get swept into the holiday season , start dreaming about what you want 2025 to look like for you. What big goals are you excited about? What areas of your life or work do you want to level up?
How to Make it Happen: Write down a few key things you’d like to focus on in the new year. It doesn’t have to be super detailed yet — just start getting clear on what you want to achieve. This way, when January rolls around, you’re ready to hit the ground running.
4. Create a Simple Game Plan
To make 2025 more productive, start by setting a loose game plan now. How can you build on what you’ve learned in 2024? Are there habits or routines you want to improve?
How to Make it Happen: Think about one or two habits that would make a big difference next year, like time-blocking your workday or scheduling regular downtime. Starting those habits now gives you a nice head start for ‘25!
5. Celebrate Those 2024 Wins!
It’s easy to get caught up in what still needs to be done, but don’t forget to celebrate the things you’ve already accomplished this year. Reflect on your progress and take a moment to be proud of what you’ve achieved — big or small.
How to Make it Happen: Treat yourself to a mini celebration (WHOO HOO)! Maybe it’s taking a day off, enjoying a special dinner, popping the bubbly, or just writing down your wins and reflecting on how far you’ve come.
Wrapping up 2024 on a high note is all about being intentional, staying focused, and being kind to yourself. As you look ahead to 2025, don’t forget to DREAM big, PLAN smart, and take it ONE step at a time!
You’ve got this! (We’ve got this!)
