Fourth Quarter Facility Update

Facility improvements are still at the top of the list for 2023 and 2024 with some exciting news coming out of both Newark and Savannah.

In Newark, we have completed the conversion of our second boiler over to propane from oil which has given us two operating boilers during the winter months. In addition, we are currently investing in additional equipment to improve yard safety and overall quality of services. We are expecting delivery of this equipment in the first quarter of 2024 and look forward to sharing the update in our next newsletter. Additionally, it’s been over a year, but we are expecting to receive our brand-new Hyster Empty Lift near the end of the first quarter of 2024.

In Savannah, we have begun to receive the materials for the construction of the office and maintenance building and the tank wash. This is a great step forward in Savannah as we continue to push our July 1, 2024, deadline of having a fully operational one-stop depot in Savannah with the capabilities to service all of the southeast, improving overall service and reducing overall downtime due to cleaning issues. We also expect to expand the list of products that can be cleaned in the southeast from what is currently being done.

In all locations, we continue to push to reduce the number of dirty containers we have in the yard to better support our customers. Currently, in Newark we have 11.9% of inventory is dirty; in Savannah, 17.9% of inventory is dirty; and, in Jacksonville, 54.2% of inventory is dirty. We continue to work with our vendors in Savannah and Jacksonville to push for cleaning on a timelier basis and know that once our Savannah location is established we will be able to resolve any backlog in the southeast.

We are looking forward to a strong 2024 and look to continue to grow with every customer.
