FOURTH ESTATE THREATENED

Throughout history writers, journalists, publishers all of the Fourth Estate have placed there lifes on the line. They are the first to suffer the consequences of tyrants, dictators, despots, and from those who are thin-skinned not able to bear criticism. Journalists, Investigative Reporters have had also the power to bring down a President (Nixon), Senator (McCarthy) to name a few in US history.

Reporters without Borders, an organization tracking Freedom of the Press Worldwide, places the USA in 41st place. The new Administration calls the Media, "Enemy of the American people", but they thrive on it. They decide who attends there Press Conferences, placing the First Amendment in jeopardy. Senate and Congress supposedly check & balance remains to be seen. I hope it will never come to this, but book burnings could be a possibility. I survived it all once before, therefore, this message from someone who has already experienced it.
