Are You 'Four Yeses'?

I thought the pandemic was tough, that 2020 would be the ultimate leadership crucible. But here we are, 2021 threw us curve-balls, and 2022 is shaping up to be a doozy! Stress, anxiety, uncertainty are bombarding us from all angles. Every single one of us?right now is feeling emotions brought on by work and by life.

How can we rise above in this super stressful environment? How do we get through and lead others? The only thing I know is that we need each other now more than ever. No one knows the “right” answer, and we can’t do this alone.?

?In her book?Cultivate. The Power of Winning Relationships , Morag shared four questions we ask ourselves in every relationship:

?·???Can I count on you?

·???Can I depend on you?

·???Do I care about you?

·???Do I trust you?

?In an ally relationship we can give a resounding “yes” to each of these questions - and our colleagues can say “yes” when thinking about us!

?Pause for a moment - are your four yeses to the people who matter most to you, at home and at work? If you're a 'no' or you're unsure then maybe it's time to step up and show up differently.

?I share more?suggestions on how to build Ally relationships in this new reality of working and interacting virtually in my article here.
