Four Years as an Entrepreneur: Gratitude, Growth, and the Power of Partnership

Today marks a special milestone for me - four years since I transitioned from the corporate world to embrace entrepreneurship fully. It’s been an incredible journey, filled with challenges, triumphs, and above all, immense gratitude.

The Genesis of JLink

JLink Connecting Experts GmbH was founded 14 years ago by my Co-CEO, Christoph. From the very beginning, Christoph built this company from the ground up, leveraging his extensive experience in advisory and recruiting. But beyond being my Co-CEO, Christoph is the brother I never had but always wished for.

Let me take you back to when Christoph and I first met. It was 2010, and we were both members of Round Table Germany, an organization dedicated to service and helping those in need. Although we lived in different cities - Christoph in Berlin and I near Frankfurt am Main - our paths crossed when we volunteered for a humanitarian aid convoy to Ukraine.

We were tasked with collecting donations to purchase 120 beds for an orphanage south of Odessa, Ukraine. The journey was a 40-hour drive each way, giving us ample time to get to know each other. It was during this trip that I first glimpsed Christoph’s incredible character - his commitment, empathy, and drive to make a difference.

Over the years, our bond grew stronger, and we became best friends. Four years ago, when I decided to leave the corporate world (after a 20 years corporate career), joining Christoph at JLink felt like the most natural next step. We’ve been running the business together ever since, and I couldn’t imagine a better partner.
