A four-wheel model of BIM implementation
The proposed model for BIM implementation consists of four key components, resembling the structure of a four-wheel system. These components are BIM motivation, BIM capacity development, BIM utilisation, and BIM commitment. These factors are identified as the primary catalysts that drive the adoption of BIM within the construction industry. The quadrilateral wheel elucidates the impetus necessitated by construction organisations in their endeavour to embrace Building Information Modelling (BIM) tools, technologies, processes, and platforms in the realm of construction projects. This includes the imperative of training and retraining employees to proficiently utilise BIM tools and technologies in the context of construction projects. Furthermore, it encompasses the formulation of policies and strategic plans to facilitate their adoption.
