Four reasons why your employees are not productive and not creative!

You can’t heal until you Feel

You can’t fix something you don’t understand

In a battle between logic and emotions, emotion always win.

Recently every time I talk to a business owner or a leader every one of them has the same challenge that puts so much stress in their life and their business.

Can’t find reliable people

Staffing problem

People don’t do their work

?Four reasons why your employees are not productive and not creative

1.??????Their job duty is not aligned with their highest values in life.

2.??????They are not present.

3.??????They are in the regret of the past similar to statement – “If I only could ….

4.??????They are in the future thinking – “I will never have enough money for……. , when I come home I have to do ………, how I’m going to pay mortgage/rent this month…….. , life is hard……… , it’s just life, tomorrow will be better …….. , I need to find another job …….”

?This doesn’t need to be this way when you align your employees job description with their highest values in life, what is most important to them! They will be inspired to work for you, and they will be present with their tasks and they will be creative.

?this is what you want!

?What are the benefits for you as business owner or leader?

?You will save approximately $200,000 a year

You will reduce employee turnover by 10%

You will be more profitable

You will attract more investors

The average cost of bad hire is as high as $240,000.

?Poorly run meetings cause teams to lose an average of 10 hours due to unclear goals and scattered efforts. And every canceled or failed project costs 100 hours of work.

?In a nutshell – you have two parts of your brain, one fast, more primitive, that gives rise to your impulsive, ungoverned reactions.

The other, the slow, more advanced, strategically thinking part of your brain that gives rise to your self-governed action.

People think neurologically within the circuits of their past experiences, and they think chemically within the boundary of those emotions (sadness, shame, guilt, disappointment, anger, helplessness, frustration, embarrassment, vulnerability, grief)

You need to understand that nobody ever works for a company or is loyal to a company. You are not even loyal to your company. Company is people! ?You are only committed to fulfil your highest values in life and your employees want the same. Everyone who works for you is only ever committed to fulfil their highest values and if they can’t they procrastinate, they are not creative and they leave in desperation.

No one will attempt to subordinate their own highest values to yours over any extended period of time. Anytime you expect someone to live according to your highest values you will get resistance and resentment.

Why ?

Because people just want to be appreciated and loved for who they are and not what you want them to be. So, if you don’t know your employees’ highest values, they will never do a good job and will always procrastinate.

I have changed 6 companies in 9 years because no one even asked me what my highest values are. What I was doing at the time didn’t align with my highest values, but I didn’t know it either. So, after 8 years of searching I have found my purpose that is aligned with my highest values in life!

As management specialist Peter Drucker has said, anytime you get resistance from an employee, it is not because of them. It is because the management team during the hiring process did not match congruently the job description with the employees’ highest values.

Or, as author Jim Collins put it, they didn’t quite get the right person on the bus. That means that you as a manager didn’t link closely their job description to their highest values. When I was working in admin then in accounting field, every time I changed company after 6 month, I always found it very boring and as a result I wasn’t creative I didn’t see the reason why I should be creative. Going to work to be able to pay my mortgage for 30 long years wasn’t enough to inspire me.

I think the paradox in hiring process is that majority of management when hiring people, they are looking what you have done for xxx number of years on your CV. Understand that when you are 20 majority of people don’t know what their purpose is and what they want to do.

So, because since I was 20 I was working in admin and accounting field, because it was projected onto?me ?that this is the best thing I can do, so then even when I wanted to work in another field my CV was never even has been considered , because I worked for 20 years in accounting and admin. Basically our hiring system puts labels on people that are not true to who they truly are!

Understand it is not about what is on their CV but about linking the job description to their highest values in life. And their highest values and yours highest values can change and will change through lifetime!!

For me for example number one highest value is freedom and it never changed so I’m grateful now that work for myself and do what I love to do.

If you have to motivate someone to do something that you want them to do, that means that this person’s delegated or expected actions are not congruent with their highest values, therefore they will require external motivation because they are not inspired from within. This people usually spend a lot of time in bathrooms gossiping about how everything is bad and who said what……..

So, when you don’t link closely your employees’ highest values with their job description you will have to motivate them and do micromanagement if you want them do what you want them to do, instead of counting on them to be inspired from within themselves.

I know you say we have PFS or KPS – I can tell you from my experience this is BS. It is just another piece of paper to tick the box and say it is done.

The key to inspired leadership is to understand that every person is living according to their highest values and when they work in their zone of genius you don’t need to motivate them, it is coming from within form their heart.

Even when they work for you they are going to live according to their highest values and not yours , this is human nature! They are always going to make decisions according to their highest values same as you.

The crucial importance of inspired employees was recognized by major investor Peter Lynch, who said that if he is to invest in company, he has four qualitative requirements :

1.People who work there are grateful for their job

2.They love what they do

3.They are inspired by the company’s vision

4.They are enthusiastically working ?

Now your employees can’t be grateful for the job and payslip if what they do is not aligned with their highest values in life.

When logic tries to battle the emotions- emotion always wins. This is why it is important to align their job description with their highest values in life, you will get them emotionally involved in what they are doing in their daily tasks. Understand we are human beings and not doings!

Here is what you can do that will help you to hire employees according to their highest values :

?First, determine their highest value in life what they love doing the most ( note it is not the same like asking what you like to do in your free time and usually you get response something like biking, reading, cooking ?? )

?Here is some questions you can use to determine their highest values :

How do your fill your space?

How do you spend your time?

How do you spend your money?

How do you spend your energy?

Where are you most organized?

Where are you most reliable?

What dominates your thoughts?

What do you visualize most?

What do you most often talk to yourself about?

What do you most often talk to others about?

What inspires you?

What goals stand out in your life and have stood the test of time?

What topics do you love to study, read or research?

What would you like to experience ?

Once you have the answers ask them to prioritize them.

Second- ask a simple question – I see that there five most important things in your life name their 5 highest values and ask how is the first job duty that is in your job description is going to fulfil your highest values?

Third - ask them about how the mission and vision of your company is going to fulfil their highest values in life?

Ant this last question will help you to filter on the right employee!

Ask- If I wrote you a cheque of $10 million and you never had to work another day in your life, what would you do ?

This is great filtering question if someone ask me this question I will be still studying in arrear of human behaviour, psychology and neuroscience, neuroplasticity of our brain, and connection between brain, mind and body, and I would be writing and teaching this material because I love it and do it from my heart.

I know that a lot of people needs this information, so it doesn’t matter how much money I have on my bank account I would still be doing what I’m doing now.

See this is not hard, it is simple!

This is what I do in my neuro change method course I help you to understand who you are on neurobiological level, what is your zone of genius – what is your purpose (your highest values). And then I help you to set a goal that is congruent with your highest values in life and beliefs, I draw that hidden potential that is now covered up with subconscious liming belfies (fixed mindsets) and wrapped up in unpleasant emotions of (grief, sadness, disappoint, vulnerability, anger, shame, frustration, disappointment) that you are avoiding. This is what is holding you back!

Create fulfilled life for yourself and your family and help your employees to be great and creative at what they do, help them to live happy and fulfilled life in congruence with their highest values in life.

Your every thought and word form a blueprint that your mind and body work to make your reality.?
