Four Questions For Curious Leaders

Often times the best answers come from the toughest questions - especially the ones we ask ourselves. Here are four questions that can help you gain clarity and confidence as we enter the last 100 days of 2020.

1. Why would anyone want to be led by you?

2. How can I make my team member's lives easier?

3. What behaviour is holding me back (that I've been unwilling to face)?

4. What one skill, if developed, would have the biggest impact on my goals?

I don't suggest you get bogged down in answering all four in depth. Once you read through the list, you'll know which one jumps out for you. Start there.

Don't rush it - marinate on one question for a few days/weeks and see what kind of clarity comes to mind. I've been stumped by all of these at some point in my career, and they've always led me to better answers. Let's finish this mess of a year on a strong note.

Be great!

Four great questions Ian! I see asking ourselves as leaders and our team quality questions are the foundation of creating change in our lives. The question I would add is 'As a leader, what you learnt about yourself and your team in 2020.'
