The Four Profound Teachings: Arjunavi?āda-yoga

Today when I was going through Arjunavi?āda-yoga from Bhagavat Gita I came across four profound teachings, which I felt is very relevant is our personal & professional life :

1.????One should discover the problem of sa?sāra (Aimless wandering/Misery). If we do not discover the underlying problem/disease, we will not seek medicine.

Unless we self-reflect and focus on our key issues in personal and professional life, we cannot find the right solution to our problems. By diagnosing the main problem, we can resolve 50% of it and create more effective and long-lasting solutions.

?As professionals, we often come across a variety of issues in our day-to-day professional life and try to find instant solutions or we simply look for best practices and we just try to adapt another organization's existing solutions to our organization problems, which will not yield the right result. To find a solution that works, we need to understand the problem. Making our own medicine for the misery our organization is going through might take a little longer, but that medicine will be a real, lasting solution.

2.?????An unwavering intention, a sincere longing (tīvramumuk?ā) is the only way to get freedom from sa?sāra.

To overcome misery in our personal and professional lives, we must have a strong desire or a genuine willingness to do so. Just talking about the problem will not help us overcome it.

?In order to identify the problem and come up with the right solution, commitment, skills, and perspective are essential. Having all talk and no action will not help us; being honest, having a positive attitude and having a true desire to succeed in our organization will help us solve any problem we come across.?

3.??????We should understand the fact that one cannot solve the problem independently. We have limitations.

When we are alone, it can be stressful, and we lack different perspectives, which can lead to path-breaking ideas.?

Collaboration and teamwork is the most efficient way to achieve an organizational common goal. Creativity is the end result of collaboration. Collaboration facilitates the exchange of ideas and thoughts. Behind every successful organization, there is always collective expertise.

4.?????We should always surrender to a Guru, who can guide us.

It is important to have a guiding star in our professional and personal lives that we can look up to. Someone who wants us to succeed in our lives. Someone who can help you realize your full potential. A guide or a pole star who leads us to growth and helps us to be successful in our career.

Often, we are like the bee that gets in to a room and after two circles forgets how to get out, and when we are lost, we need a Guide who can help us figure out how to resolve the crisis we are facing.

These are my reflections. What are your thoughts on these above mentioned teachings from the Bhagavad Gita?
