Four Points to Remember When You're Comparing Yourself to Others
SUMMARY:
- Don’t get discouraged because others have achieved more than you. A lot of our discouragement in life comes from comparing ourselves to other people. Instead ask yourself, "Am I following my truth? Am I working diligently towards what is important to me? Am I on my own path? Am I staying consistent to what is important to me and what I believe in and what makes me feel alive?” Most of the time, the discouragement doesn’t come from failing at something. It's that in the deepest part of our soul, we know that we're on the wrong path.
- Always celebrate the wins of others. It's easy to feel jealous when others are succeeding while you are stagnant or plateauing. Instead, look to those who are winning as an example of what is possible. Strive to be courageous and move forward with a faithful heart. Commend others on their victories, and let their successes inspire your own journey and goals!
- Don’t ever assume that people didn’t work hard or struggle for their accomplishments. There is no such thing as overnight success. Anyone who reaches true greatness put their heart and soul into achieving their dreams. It takes consistency and commitment, so stay unwavering in your efforts to reach what you believe is worth achieving.
- Spend less time comparing yourself to others, and more time manifesting your own dreams. Nothing beneficial will prosper from dwelling on negative thoughts. Instead, maintain a clear vision of your goals, and be intentional on what actions you need to take to reach them.
