1. Hadas Malka.
As last Shabbat began with the horrific news of the murder of #HadasMalka H"yd in the Old City. In the week since her funeral, I have come to learn a lot about this incredible young woman. Her friends spoke of how she had been in the navy, but wanted to be a combat soldier and transferred to the Border Police. They also recounted how she was never afraid, despite all the attacks that have occurred in and near the Old City. She was a real-life Wonder Woman. She leaves behind parents and five siblings, three sisters and two brothers.#nomoreterror
2. Muhammed Abd Elrhaman
He is one of the MDA paramedics who rushed to Damascus gate to treat Hadas Malka. "I treated the injured soldier, whilst in the background they were still searching for more terrorists!" Treating Hadas reminded him of previous terror attacks at Damascus Gate when other critically injured were brought to him. Muhammed's crew was kept at hospital until after Hadas's family was informed that she had died. "We sat there and waited."#coexistence #wecare #endtheconflict
3. Jerome Bettis
Jerome nicknamed "The Bus" was part of the special visit for 18 Hall of Famers lead by philanthropist Robert Kraft. I was touched to hear how he expressed his feelings of being in Israel. "One thing that was resounding was the resolve of the Jewish people. We had briefings from a different set of people every day. The message that you get - outside of the things that happened in each person's individual life - was their love with the state of Israel, their country. But also the understanding that they were a people who were bashed & beaten, and they were able to rise and overcome it. You get that message with every single person you meet." #Israel
4. Imam Mohammed Mahmoud
The terror in attack in Finsbury Park is devastating, yet it was the brave actions of a local Imam that stopped would could have been another atrocity. Imam Mohammed has been hailed a hero for stepping in to protect the suspected attacker, telling the furious mob: "Do not touch him" Tolerance & respect must prevail. #Coexistence
