The Four Overrated Desires: A Different Perspective

The Four Overrated Desires: A Different Perspective

You’re seeking more confidence, more clarity, more certainty, and more comfort, aren’t you? Sometimes clients think this is what they want when we first meet.

Each of these desires, while appealing, is vastly overrated and, frankly, not what you actually need. Let’s dive into why this is the case and what truly matters.

Why Courage Matters More Than Confidence

At many points, we face decisions wishing we had the confidence to choose boldly.?

However, real confidence is the reward of having dared, not a starting point. True bravery comes from listening to your heart and taking that step, even when you’re trembling.

Ever noticed how doing something you thought was impossible gave you a real boost? That's courage in action, proving itself more valuable than pre-emptive confidence.

Action Brings Clarity, Not Planning

We often think we need a clear plan before making a move. But, have you noticed that you figure things out as you go, rather than having it all sorted from the start??

It’s like when you clean a messy room; you don’t know where everything goes until you start moving things around.?

Sometimes, just doing something, anything, can make what’s next a lot clearer. When was the last time taking a step forward showed you which way to go?

Creativity Loves Uncertainty

While we all crave certainty, a pre-determined life can stifle creativity!

The opposite of uncertainty isn’t certainty, it’s creativity.

It's in the unknown, in the spaces between our plans, where creativity thrives.?

Remember a time when a sudden change forced you to be creative? That's the beauty of uncertainty—it challenges us to find solutions we'd never considered.

Ergo, it’s courage, action, creativity, and challenges that truly drive growth.- This photo is taken at Lars Ramberg exhibition in Stavanger March 2024.

The Comfort Trap

Comfort is appealing, yet it can also be a gilded cage, keeping us from exploring and growing.?

Think back to a moment when stepping out of your comfort zone led you to discover something wonderful. That exhilarating feeling is a reminder that true growth often requires us to embrace discomfort.

So, here you are, wanting these things. And sure, on the surface, they seem essential. But once you're here, ready to work, ready to grow, you'll realize we're not playing by those old, overrated rules.?

It's about moving beyond wanting these comforts to embracing the journey—uncertain, unclear, uncomfortable, and all.

?That's where the real magic happens. Are you ready to let go of what you want for what you truly need?

I have one opening now for a 4 months 1:1 partnership coaching. It’s rare, intense, it’s Pure transformation.?

If this is you? Let’s have a chat !?
