As we spring forward to April, there is no shortage of funding available to support your creative ideas or business.?

Below, preview our April 2024 issue of the Grants For Creators newsletter, which contains 72+ grants totaling approximately $575,650.

Funding includes grants for authors and writers, artists, nonprofits, women entrepreneurs, journalists, photographers, and more. New grants are added weekly. Plus, plenty of grants are still due in March 2024, too. Good luck!

1. This American Life Production Fellowship - For Radio Production

This opportunity offers two six-month production fellowships each year, one starting in January and the other in July, based in our office in New York City. This is a paid position. Fellows earn about $6,250 a month before taxes. The offer includes benefits like health insurance and relocation reimbursement. The fellows observe and participate in all aspects of the radio show’s weekly production. They learn to structure and mix radio stories, sit in on group edits where stories are shaped, pitch stories, participate in the program’s weekly story meetings, and, yes, perform assorted menial tasks that are the true signs of any apprentice program. Fellows are encouraged to produce their pieces, including reporting, interviewing, structuring, editing, and mixing.

2. American Dream Grant - For Small Businesses

This opportunity spotlights small businesses epitomizing the modern American Dream through innovative solutions, outstanding community contributions, and commitment to sustainable business practices. These prestigious awards are available to all for-profit businesses in the United States. Recipients receive a package that comprises $1,000 in funding, access to a small business accelerator, media coverage, and various other perks.

3. The Pulitzer Center's Conflict & Peace Grant - For Journalists

Journalists examine the roots of conflict and its connections with many underreported global issues, from mass migration to authoritarianism, gender violence, and the struggle over natural resources. The Pulitzer Center is eager to fund as much in-depth reporting as possible that is as safe as possible for the journalists and touches on a broad range of topics, including possible pathways to peace. If you are a journalist or newsroom seeking funding for projects covering conflict and its impact or need support due to the increased costs of reporting safely from conflict zones, please consider submitting a proposal. The funding amount was not disclosed.

4. The Make My Move Relocation Fund - For Remote Workers

This opportunity is a marketplace product that connects remote workers and other work-from-anywhere talent with communities attracting new residents. They help workers find the right place, and they help communities build and promote programming to attract those workers. Richmond, Indiana, is currently recruiting remote workers who are employed full-time and able to relocate while retaining their current position or those who are self-employed and able to relocate while retaining their current clients/portfolio. Applicants must relocate their primary residence to Wayne County, IN, within 6 months. The total incentive package provided is $7,500.
