Four benefits of using CBD for your beard

Four benefits of using CBD for your beard

It’s Fathers’ Day on Sunday and we are also presently midway through Men’s Health Week, so it seems like the ideal time to write about the importance of a grooming regimen for men that enhances both physical and mental health. So why should you add a CBD product to your grooming habits and where can you see the benefits? Today, I’m going to be looking specifically at beard care.

I’ve had a beard since around 2004 and am delighted that I’m eventually in style! Over the past few years, beards are becoming the “go to” for a huge number of men out there to add to their style. However, growing a beard isn’t as simple as just waiting for it to happen, you need to care for the hair, the follicles and for the skin underneath the beard. Yet so many disregard this, or assume a quick rub with the usual shower gel or shampoo will do the trick. Nope. I’m afraid not.

So with that being said, why should you use a CBD based oil or balm for your beard?

Promotes hair growth

Your hair, including facial hair is mostly made up of a protein called kKeratin, which reacts extremely well with the fatty acids contained in CBD. The CBD product strengthens the hair from inside out making it so much less likely to break and allowing you to grow a full and lustrous beard. CBD also promotes blood circulation, making the nascent hair, growing from a now strengthened follicle, a lot stronger from the start, again making growth less of a challenge. And yes, this is as true for the hair on your head as the hair on your face, so our products can be used there too.

Softens and moisturises the hair

OK, we all like to wander the earth, chest out, chin up, bellowing at one another and being all manly, so we don’t care about having a soft and manageable beard, do we? Of course we do, or we should. For our own sake, or that of the partner we kiss, or the children we hug, our beards need to be looked after better. CBD oil and balm doesn’t just strengthen hair, but it softens and moisturises too. Use our CBD Beard Oil if you have a shorter length beard and our CBD Beard Balm for longer growths, so you can enjoy a sculpted look. Do you want to look like you’ve just woken up in the nearest ditch, or do you want to look like you’ve made a modicum of effort? Also, your beard will be easier to manage and much more enjoyable to touch.

Treat your skin too

Beard Oils and Balms aren’t just made for the hair, but for the skin under the hair too. Almost every man with facial hair has at some point encountered dry skin, shaving rash when shaping, ingrown hairs, etc. None of these are comfortable and can be easily dealt with. CBD is long regarded as a superb anti inflammatory and anti oxidant, so therefore reducing those problems significantly. How many of you out there have tried to grow a beard and stopped due to itchiness and aggravation? Our products remove these issues from the equation, allowing you the freedom to look like you want to look. The essential oils we use, in addition to the CBD, add their moisturising properties and leads us to market leading products. We don’t overdo the oils, as we don’t want you to smell of your oil or balm, but of your chosen scent, so our products are relatively neutral, compared to many.

It’s not all about the beard

The benefits of our entire ingredient range are numerous, but to concentrate on the CBD cannabis side, what this truly wondrous plant can do is remarkable. And one of the key assets it has is in the possible reduction of anxiety. We are all concerned about how we look, how we are perceived by others, how to make a good physical impression. So we needed to formulate products that didn’t only make you look good, but make you feel good and the feedback we get from clients is extraordinarily positive and we are always hearing stories from our clients and their clients how great the oil and balm make them look and feel. Seems simple and obvious, but so many disregard this part of grooming, when there is so much to be gained by just putting that extra wee effort in.

Thank you for reading these four reasons why you should use a CBD beard care product. Let’s look after ourselves better.

Great article Steve Smith and excellent advice for a fellow beardy

Great article Steve. It is so important for us to convince more men to focus on self-care. The vast majority of us don't do a great job at this. The mentality I see is often 'suck it up and march on!' and looking after yourself seen as some admission of weakness. Absolute cobblers! The reality is - if you want to reach peak performance, you need to start with the basics and take care of yourself! To avoid self care is to lack discipline! Let's create an army of relaxed, confident men that are ready to take on what is an increasingly challenging world! ??
