Is Founders Mojo Stifling Your Business Growth?

Have you heard of “Founders Mojo”? It’s the phrase coined by a notable business guru, Charlie Gilkey. It references the creative power a solo-entrepreneur brings to their business.?????????

It’s a combination of intuition, vision, experience, and drive enabling a founder to be a more effective, decisive, and risk-tolerant…?????????

... that spark and drive needed to create a business. But, it can also be a trap - something that can end up backfiring and ultimately restricting business growth.?????????

Here’s the problem: While this Mojo can exponentially grow a business in the beginning, it eventually keeps a business from growing past a certain point.?????????

Here’s how Charlie put it:?????????

“Founder’s mojo is like an electric generator that can move around in a business. That generator can power anything within the business: in fact, it has powered everything in the business. But, there are only so many things the generator can power at once. As the business grows, there are more and more initiatives needing the (energy) juice and the generator runs out of capacity.”?????????

Obviously, even the most “Mojo-ey” of us have a finite amount of time, creativity and bandwidth. There is a point in every solopreneur’s life that like the band The Cringe, sings, “I can’t take it no more, it’s the same as before”!?????????

All the managing and creating initiatives take more and more time. You can’t do it all and anyone who has attained a significant level of growth can find themselves exhausted and frustrated.?????????

Shout out below if this sounds familiar! And tune in, in a few days where I'll be sharing my top tips on what you can do instead.
