Founders Mixer: What is it? #3
LISA - Stanford GSB LEAD Incubator & Startup Accelerator
Stanford GSB LEAD community's first hybrid platform for incubating Ideas to MVP and scaling ventures globally.
Co-founders bring additional expertise. Getting a co-founder increases the chances of the start-up to develop a viable idea, to attract financing and to succeed once the business is kicked-off. LISA highly encourages startups to have at least one co-founder from the very beginning of the program.
LISA's founders' mixers are a great informal way to kick-start our cohorts. Participants meet live for the first time. They also learn about applicants interested to get on board as potential co-founders.
How is the matching done? The needs of the founders are correlated with the applicants' expertise and interest areas. It is a win-win engagement.
Even though highly recommended, there is no mandatory commitment to accept co-founders. The mixer on its own is an enabler of further conversations between the teams. The final decision is made by the start-ups themselves.
LISA founders' mixers have brought many success cases over the past cohorts, and we are looking forward to hosting these again! Best of luck to Cohort 6!
