I’d first like to start by saying that the difference has little to do with the individual, and much more to do with the life-cycle of the ventures they deal. It has become extremely popular to polarize founders vs leaders with the latter having some unique trait that the Innovators doesn’t have.

A recent University of Phoenix survey showed that 63% of 20-somethings have a strong desire to start a business.

In the 21st Century, there are millions of innovators, but few authentic innovation leaders are able to inspire and guide innovators and their teams to create breakthrough products with their innovative ideas.

Entrepreneurship helps technology graduates and those already working in tech start-ups to discover their inner founder. None of these founders would describe themselves as inventors, even though most have an engineering background, notes Matt Clifford.“The invention itself is rarely the key to the whole thing at least with technology companies,” he says. “We look for people with a bigger vision, who can think in an unconstrained way, not limited by the original idea for their product.”
