Found Images & Tearsheets wanted
I had a bit of a google recently and managed to find a few references to my images in print. I was able to locate only two as images of the relevant pages though - as something I can consider a tearsheet or solid evidence of my work in use. Several further comments lead me to believe my work is used in various magazines and books, but I haven't been able to locate actual visual proofs.
So, what did I search and how did I find any? In this case I tried a variety of combinations of google searches which included my pseudonym Septemberlegs and various agency names. I also asked google for anything with Septemberlegs and either ISBN or ISSN (it was working on my DACS payback claim that started it you see), which was by far the more successful method.
I am desperate to see a copy of one of the images referenced - it is in a very expensive tome by the name of "Towards a Philosophy of Narco Violence in Mexico" ISBN 978-1-137-52653-3. The reference leads me to believe my image may be being used as the back cover, and I would love a copy if you can see it/scan it for me!
However, despite some limited successes this time, I generally struggle to find tearsheets and wondered if other pros have any tips on how you go about finding your images in use (when sold via agencies such as alamy or getty)?
Thanks for your thoughts,
all the best,
Septemberlegs
