FOUND IN DRAFTS, THIS WAS WRITTEN IN 2017 - But it's still relevant about Connections
Rachael Chiverton
I help busy business owners get back control of their time so they can focus on growing the most important part of their business
Making connections and asking for help is crucial in business.
Last night, we held our house warming party, well it actually turned into the "Bye Bye BBQ Party" since as well managing to make a fabulous feast for our friends and neighbours, the BBQ also BBQ'd itself..... I guess we're off to B & Q soon!
During the conversations, one person mentioned they needed to update their will - that's not a problem I can introduce you to 3 will writers, then you can chose who to go with.
Another attendee mentioned he was struggling with procurement for photocopies for a local council - again not a problem I've got an introduction for you.
Someone else said - I can't stay long I've got a writing deadline and I'm already 5000 words over - if you need a hand I know a great PR and copywriter. Another introduction done.
So what's my point here. It is through the 4Networking meetings I run I know a lot of people and I'm passionate about helping people, so do you need an introduction to someone?
If so let me know who or what it is you need help with and I'll have a think then send you both, if I know someone, an introductory email.
Continuing with the theme of helping, this week's Guest Blog came from Martin Byrne of Business Protect, where he shared why trust is essential in business. If you introduce people, there is already an implied level of trust since you wouldn't recommend someone you wouldn't work with yourself.
To help you get paid on time, this week I shared
- the 7 most common invoicing issues and how to resolve them,
- what subject line should you use when chasing your invoices by emails?
- when is the best time of day to call to get your invoices paid?
- how often should you send emails chasing payments?
If I can help you in anyway, whether that's an introduction to someone for your business or to sort out that niggling thought that's been on your mind for months, or if it's because you think "I've got loads of customer but I still can't treat the family!" then drop me a note.
I'd love to help you grow.
Until next week stay safe, stay healthy and remember, you're speaking to a person, not a purse!
Cheers
Rachael
