Fostering a Design DNA: Mandatory Courses for Diverse Domains to Address Domain-specific Complexity with Empathy

In today's rapidly evolving landscape, where complexities within various domains continue to grow, there's an emerging need for a transformative approach that transcends traditional boundaries. Introducing the power of design as a mandatory component across diverse domains is poised to be a game-changer. By infusing design principles into every facet of education, we're not just shaping skilled professionals but cultivating a new era of thinkers, problem-solvers, and innovators armed with a unique "Design DNA."

Design's empathy-driven mindset fuels innovation and problem-solving. Integration across disciplines equips professionals to navigate complex challenges, transforming problem-solving and creating user-centric experiences. Collaboration thrives as design becomes a universal language, cultivating adaptable professionals for a changing world and crafting solutions with global resonance and ethical consideration.

Yes Design is in every Inch of the world, man-made as well as Nature,in fact Nature itself has so much of it that we see and are inspired from. Right from a smallest seed that is designed by nature to be unfolded and grow as a tree. So yes design is a must in the world to be considered included in every field, even in schools at some places I used to take workshops on Design thinking when I was in Ahmedabad. Very interesting Article, I would be happy to have a pdf of this article. Thank you for sharing Adity Saxena, PhD
