Fossil fuels are the cornerstone of climate action
The science has been clear for many years: it is impossible to limit climate change to 1.5°C or 2°C without leaving a significant proportion of fossil fuel resources below the Earth's surface.
?The exit from oil, gas and coal (which have sustained humanity's growth for over 150 years) is now the cornerstone of public and private climate action.
And as it is simpler and more realistic not to invest in new fossil fuel operations than to ask operators to cease their activities early, it is urgent to halt all new development in this field, starting with the most carbon-intensive energies.
This is why I am particularly proud to have contributed to Egis taking a clear and precise position on the subject through its exclusion policy.

1 年L'évolution de notre politique d'exclusion avec des critères sur la biodiversité et sur les émissions de carbone est un signal fort et une décision courageuse pour concrétiser les engagements du groupe. Merci Hubert et merci à toute l'équipe pour votre action. Nous sommes nombreux au sein d'Egis à rechercher un meilleur alignement de nos actions avec les accords de Paris et à contribuer via notre métier à la réponses aux défis posés par le déclin de la biodiversité et le changement climatique. A titre personnel, je me réjouis de ce progrès et j'espère que cette politique d'exclusion va continuer à s'étendre et à se renforcer avec des critères plus exigeants notamment dans le domaine de la biodiversité.
