White Sox and Bulls Owner Acquires Controlling Stake of Stadium Network

Jerry Reinsdorf, the Chicago White Sox and Bulls owner, has taken majority control of Stadium, the multiplatform sports network he helped create in 2017. Industry sources have confirmed to Front Office Sports that Reinsdorf’s Silver Chalice sports media entity recently acquired a controlling stake in Stadium previously held by Sinclair Broadcast Group. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Vikings, Minnesota Pay Off Stadium Debt 23 Years Early

The Minnesota Vikings will be able to pay off debt on their publicly owned home stadium 23 years early, thanks to a new tax bill signed by Gov. Tim Walz. The legislation will retire $377 million in outstanding stadium bonds for Minneapolis’ U.S. Bank Stadium by the end of June — wiping out debt scheduled to be paid off in 2046 and saving Minnesota taxpayers $226 million in interest.

Rose Zhang Embraces Ties to Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA Tour Debut

Rose Zhang is going pro this week after a two-year stay at Stanford that ended as one of the most dominant careers ever for an amateur golfer. She won the 2020 U.S. Women’s Amateur at 17 years old, and then in 2022 and 2023, she became the first female golfer to win consecutive NCAA individual national titles. She enters the professional ranks with huge expectations and numerous endorsements.

Attendance at LIV Golf’s DC Event Exceeds Expectations

Minutes after Harold Varner III sank a birdie on the 18th, the P.A. announcer said a “record” crowd was on hand for the final round of the LIV Golf DC event.?How large was it? The final day had an estimated crowd of 14,000, according to one organizer estimate. That was more than double what local and state law enforcement officials expected.
